Welcome
 Niger is one of the newest works of the Assemblies of God in Africa. Our outreach to this nation began in 1990. We had been praying for years for openness to the Gospel message in Islamic countries. The people of Niger are responding as never before. The great need is for evangelism, church planting, and the training of pastors. Most of the people in this nation have never received an adequate explanation of the Gospel.
Assemblies of God USA missionaries assigned to Niger are Dan & Earlene Ligon (ligonletters.com), Brent & Shelley Teague, Dave & Hope Johansson (daveandhope.net), and Jeremy Wyckoff.
Niger has 35 churches and 20 preaching points. There are 17 ordained, 8 licensed, and 9 certified ministers. There are two Bible Schools, one in Niamey and one in Maradi, with an enrollment of 30 students.
